We aim to deliver a high quality education to all students that attend our school. We are committed to all students achieving their best and being lifelong learners who contribute actively to their communities and to society.
Our Values
Wilson has a values (Respect; Education: Aspire; Learn) focus and links activities to the 5 key values of the Australian Curriculum. One vehicle used to include students directly in values education is the Family Virtues Program.
Key virtues such as respect, courtesy, self-discipline are discussed with students in class and these are reinforced at assemblies, through the newsletter and through student awards.
At Wilson our key values are:
Respect. We promote the concept of self-respect and respect for our fellow human beings.
Excel. We expect every student to try their best and always strive to improve.
Aspire. We set goals for learning and we provide the tools for every student to achieve their full potential.
Learn. We provide learning opportunities that are individually tailored for each end every student.
There is a strong pastoral ethos with the more senior classes having buddies in the junior classes and a charitable and tolerant approach evident throughout the student body.
